MICHELE LONSDALE-SMITH: Co-writer, Producer.
Michèle trained at New York’s Lee Strasberg Theatre School and has since acted in numerous film, television, and theatre projects over the last 18 years. She is the Artistic Director of the Lyric Project in Vancouver, comprising the Lyric School of Acting that she cofounded in 2001 and the Lyric Stage Project that she recently initiated. Michèle has coached and mentored a multitude of working actors across Canada over the past eight years. As a stage director,
she has to date helmed fifteen plays including Chekhov’s Three Sisters with York University’s Master Ensemble, the stage version of Leda Serene Films’ A Winter Tale and the inaugural LSP productions: Strindberg’s Miss Julie and Amiri Baraka’s Dutchman.

SUSAN FUEG: Producer
Susan Fueg
is the General Manager of Leda Serene Films and Caribbean Tales and is
responsible for the financial, personnel and contract management of
Leda Serene, its associated companies, and all of its individual
projects. She has
worked as Line Producer on the 26-part documentary series, Literature
Alive and as Producer on the award-winning feature film, A Winter Tale.
Before joining the company in May 2003, Susan worked as an
Administrator, Manager, Accountant and Fund-raiser for a range of
non-profit organizations.

KIM DERKO: Director of Photography
Kim Derko csc studied art at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, and apprenticed at the National Film Board in Montreal. She has photographed art projects that were displayed at the Guggenheim Museum and the Venice Biennale, and has credits as a director of photography, which include the television productions Nature of the Beast, Show Me Yours and Dark Oracle, and the independent features A Winter Tale, Kardia, The Law of Enclosures, and I, Claudia. Her work on the performance film Youkali Hotel won a 2004 Gemini Award. Derko has also directed three films and several music videos.

CHRISTOPHER PINHEIRO: Production Designer
The founding Artistic Director of the Toronto-based
SwizzleStick Theatre, he designs and directs scenarios for Stilt-Dancing Moko
Jumbies and has been working on Caribana since 1985 with Shadowland,
VideoCabaret and the Toronto Island Mas Band. Recipient of a Commonwealth Foundation Fellowship in Textile
Design, he study-toured in India. Beginning with the Trinidad Theatre Workshop of Derek
Walcott, he was a foundation member of the Banyan Television Workshop and the
Callaloo Company of Peter Minshall. This is his second project with Leda Serene. The first was as Art Director on “What My
Mother Told Me.”

JOHN WELSMAN: Composer
John is a composer for film and Television whose credits include over 20 MOW’s, 6 series, 50 documentary 1-hours and mini-series, and 6 seasons of the award-winning drama series Road To Avonlea. He is a 5-time Gemini Award winner and a 12-time Gemini nominee. John is also a songwriter and music arranger, having worked with artists like Loreena McKennitt, Alannah Myles, Stephanie Hardy, Jane Siberry, Available Space, and particularly Cherie Camp, with whom he co-wrote songs and recorded the album ‘Cherie Camp’, produced by Gene Martynec, for WEA.

MAURI HALL: Composer
Mauri
has been doing music since the age of seven, singing and song writing,
as well as composing. He has produced many songs for radio in Trinidad
and Tobago, working with artists such as Bunji Garlin and 3 Canal. He
has composed for Literature Alive, a 13-part documentry
series which aired on Bravo! in late 2005 for Leda Serene Films. Mauri
has composed for theatre productions such as A Winter Tale
(Leda Serene/Caribbean Tales) and is also working on the music for a
feature film version of A Winter Tale. He is also an audio engineer,
holding a diploma in recording engineering from Recording Arts Canada
and has worked professionally as an audio engineer since 2000.

BRIAN EIMER: Sound Designer
Brian started making soundtracks in 1989 for television and feature films. Then in 1996, he shifted focus to sound design for large format films (IMAX), special venue films and themed attractions. While working in this area he won 3 Golden Reel awards. In 2003 Brian formed his own sound company called ImagesInSound. Working with another talented sound designer, JR Fountain, he has had the fortunate opportunity to work on a few independent feature films, that have gone on to win accolades and awards. As well he was just nominated for a 2007 Gemini award for best sound in a documentary.
