Gene: Peter Williams
1995
Genie Nominee Peter Williams has built his career on the back of
Canadian films such as "Soul Survivor", "Love Come Down", and "A Winter
Tale". Hollywood fare including "The Chronicles Of Riddick",
"Catwoman", "Run" ... and Television series "Neon Rider", "Stargate
SG-1", "DaVinci's Inquest"; among numerous others. Based in B.C.,
Peter has been fortunate to work in Ontario and the Maritimes and still
intends to cover the rest of the nation and the world with his work.

Michael is a young up and coming Afro Canadian actor who has been
featured in commercials for McDonalds, Northwest Airlines, Eatons and
Reese"s’ Pieces. Michael has worked on many Alliance Atlantis
productions, between “Due South”’ “Straight Up” and “Drop the Beat”. He
was a principal in the Fox Television pilot for “Save the Last Dance”.

Miss G: Leonie Forbes
The wide-ranging talents of Jamaica's first Lady of film theatre and stage, Leonie Forbes have attracted local and international recognition. Considered an icon in Jamaica, Ms Forbes trained at the Royal Academy
of Dramatic Arts in London, England. Her career spans several decades
in film, TV and radio in Jamaica, England, Australia and Canada. Awards
include the Order of Distinction from the Jamaican government, the
Silver and Bronze Musgrave (top awards for arts, culture and science in
Jamaica) and the Institute of Jamaica Centenary Medal. Ms. Forbes was
nominated for a Gemini Award for her work in “LORD HAVE MERCY!”

P! is no stranger to the local theatre scene having stretched his
involvement from stage to screen. Last seen appearing in Yvette’s “Ova
Mi Dead Baby”, he was lauded for his masterful performance. P! was a
principal comedic actor with Plaitform Entertainment. His other key
involvements include: a principal role in “Superbob” a People’s Choice
Awardee at the Reel World Film Festival, and principal roles in Devon
Haugton’s “2 for 2”, “Big Yard 3” and “ Old Friends”.

Peter received his training in Theatre Performance at Humber College.
In 2002, he was the recipient for the Edna Khubyar Acting Award. His
theatre credits include "Julius Caesar" where he played Brutus (Humber
Theatre), "Dutchman" (Theatre Symbiosis) and Angelique" (Hart House
Theatre).

Lloyd: R.O. Glasgow
R. O. Glasgow (aka Ryan aka Rye Guy) is a cute comedian, amazing actor,
meek musician, incredible improv artist, dynamic DJ (Demeanor) and
passionate playwright to name a few of the skills he has honed over the
years. An active member of the community, Ryan tends to tap into his
colorful West Indian heritage to shamelessly charm all who witness the
“Guy Can Jam” in action. His dream is to utilize his experience in
theatre, film and television to bring the Arts to the masses, in every
demographic across the globe.

Sibeka: Ryan Ishmael
Ryan Ishmael started his acting career in Gr. playing the part of Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer in his
school's Christmas pageant. "I think the teacher didn't have make up
for Rudolph, so being dark skinned, she just put a red nose on me and
some antlers and called it a day," he jokes. Acting throughout
high school and in numerous Christmas and Easter plays at his church,
Ryan honed some skills in the acting field and attended Humber College's Theatre Program, before auditioning for "A Winter Tale".

experienced theatre and film actor who also writes, directs and

Mickey: Mike G. Yohannes
An emerging talent, Mike G trained at Sundance and the Cardinal Carter
Academy for the Arts. Mike G has acting experience in both theatre and
film. His theatre experience ranges from "Shakespeare in High Park"
(Ford Performing Arts Centre) to "Alice in Wonderland" and "Oliver
Twist". Mike G has been featured in "Finding Forrester" (Gould
Productions) and "Detroit Rock City" (Gould Productions) and had a
principal role in "Fly Boy" (Derryck Birch - Independent).

Elaine: Valerie Buhagiar
Born in Mosta, Malta, Valerie immigrated to Canada with her parents in 1964. At 18 she toured China, the United States and Canada as a puppeteer. Graduating from Toronto's George Brown Acting Program, she won acclaim for her roles in Bruce MacDonald's iconic films Roadkill, and Highway 61. Her directing debut, "The Passion of Rita Carmilleri", won several awards including a Silver Plaque at the 1993 Chicago Film Festival. Valerie recieved Dora Mavor Moore Awards for "The Lorca Play", "White Trash" and "Blue Eyes". A retrospective of her work as actor and filmmaker was featured at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, Czech Republic.

Charmaine: Shakura S’Aida
Juno
nominated blues diva Shakura S'Aida's sultry voice has won her many prized
performance opportunities ranging from concerts at the famed Apollo
Theatre in New York, to singing back-up vocals for Rita MacNeil and the
legendary Patti Labelle, as well as featured performances with jazz
legends like Jimmy Smith and Ruth Brown. Shakura's songwriting talent
also keeps her in high demand amongst her many theatre and television
clients. She has performed in numerous theatre and television
productions.

Julie: Nicole Stamp
Nicole
has trained as an actor, theatre director, musician and playwright, and
has worked for some of the most prestigious theatre companies in
Canada, including CanStage, Tarragon Theatre, and Theatre Passe
Muralle. She was the recipient of a 2004 Toronto Arts Award for
Excellence and Innovation in Theatre. She co-created "Plastic Love", an
improvised short that won both First Prize and Audience Choice Awards
at the 2005 24-Hour Toronto Film Challenge.

Bobby's film/television acting credits include: Anthony Furey's

Dresden Files (Sci Fi), Blue Murder (Global), Exhibit A
(CTV/Discovery), The Mary Kay Letourneau Story (USA Network) and
Cheaters (HBO). Stage credits include: Wajdi Mouawad's Tideline
(Factory), Mike McPhaden's Flight 198 (SummerWorks 2001) and David Yee's Half Life (Downstairs Cabaret/U.S.). He has also
acted in many of his own works including: Child Hood (SummerWorks
2005), When Children Fall (SummerWorks 2000) and Half-Chinx Taking Over
the World (Tim Sims rental).
